  Shows disproportionate dysregulation to ordinary classroom stressors (small errors, missed turns, corrected mistakes).

  Requires prolonged recovery to baseline after an affective event, costing instructional time across subsequent blocks.

  Shows marked decline in executive function (holding, inhibition, switching) on affectively loaded days vs. regulated days.
